Before we advise we listen. We always endeavour to find out as much as possible about what sort of music you listen to, the rooms you listen to it in and what functionality you need from a system.

Armed with that information, we’ll bring together components or recommend a system that will deliver the experience you’re looking for, an experience that will also be functional and in keeping with the design of your home.

We encourage you to bring in your favourite discs or hook up your MP3 player to give a system a thorough workout before you buy.

The simplest form of home theatre or stereo is a single brand system. These provide a complete package of source, amplification and speakers.


Frequently, these systems are inexpensive, but can be severely constrained in performance terms.

Choosing separates, on the other hand, can ensure you get to enjoy both excellent performance and a long lifespan from a system. Most HiFi separates will usually be sonically superior, providing more power, more exciting dynamics and superior sound.

Separate components also offer an extensive range of input sockets for plugin components such as a widescreen digital TV
or a DVD player. Modern components have the ability to use stored music iPod solutions, and be expanded into a
multi-room system.

A Great Pair of Speakers

The right speakers go more than half way to achieving superb sound, regardless of budget.

Free standing designs, floor or table/stand mounting ‘box’ speakers, offer excellent performance.

There is something very pleasant about sitting in front of a pair of good speakers at your own concert!

Sub-Sat systems are very popular these days with open plan, or smaller rooms not having the wall space for free standing versions.

Sub-Sats have a stand alone sub-woofer or ‘bass module’ enhancing the bottom end and tiny cube type satellite
speakers, often wall or ceiling mounted by our installers.

A well designed sub-sat system can give excellent performance if correctly chosen.
Correct placement is critical for achieving best results.
