Pure Direct switching on the RS-500B and RS-700B guarantees the best sound reproduction quality possible by allowing the signal to bypass non-essential controls and circuits and travel directly to the discrete power amplifier via the shortest and most direct signal path. Extended frequency response allows these receivers to be fully compatible with Super Audio CD and two-channel DVD-Audio formats.
Yamaha’s receivers have extensive connections and enhanced multi-zone control capabilities, including a Zone 2 audio output so that music can be enjoyed in a second room. In addition, audio can be sent to three different zones in your home via the main zone speaker output, Speaker B output and zone 2 audio output. There is also a main/zone 2 power switch and two input/one output remote terminals.
